Among the Gloomlings, Nibbles is known for his… appetite. Not for food exactly, but for sampling anything he’s curious about.

Twigs, coins, shoelaces, candle wax - if it fits in his mouth, he’s had a nibble. The others joke that he’s the reason half their treasures have mysterious teeth marks.

Nibbles isn’t greedy, though. His “taste tests” are his way of understanding the world. He swears each thing has a flavour of memory - rust tastes like forgotten battles, buttons taste like old lullabies, and feathers taste like secrets blown away on the wind.

He’s also strangely protective. If a Gloomling finds something precious, Nibbles will stand guard, flashing his wide, lopsided grin at anyone who dares to steal it. But you’ll know he’s fond of you if he offers you a chewed-up trinket, claiming it’s “perfectly seasoned".
